Diversity

We believe that a variety of perspectives make a company stronger. That’s why we prioritise having a diverse workforce. Our workforce consists of both women (59%) and men (41%) from more than 20 different countries. Through the concept of ‘Employee Focus and Feedback,’ we aim to foster good communication and conversations between leaders and employees, thus ensuring there is an avenue for development and for employees to address difficulties.

Equity

Employment at Vikan is solely based on merit, and employment and promotion are decided without any regard for, exclusion of, or preference based on gender, race, ethnicity, national or social background, religion, age, disability, political affiliation, sexual orientation, union membership, or any other status protected by applicable law. Vikan operates based on the principle that diversity among our employees contributes positively to the work environment and strengthens the company’s performance and competitiveness.

Inclusion

Our recruiting approach is designed to ensure fairness and equal opportunity employment. To support this, the following measures are in place:

  • We try to avoid unconscious prejudice in recruiting by always involving a panel of several/varied interviewers

  • We design recruitment processes of a certain length to ensure a diverse range of people are considered for each job

  • We only work with outsourced recruiting partners who observe the equal opportunity requirements

  • We provide a workplace atmosphere that respects diversity and where variations are appreciated

  • We employ leaders who are culturally competent and willing to commit to equality.
